This past weekend the Buckeyes hosted a ton of visitors for their 45-0 win over the Purdue Boilermakers. One of those was 2026 New Jersey native and four-star CB Jordan Thomas. He spoke to the Silver Bulletin about his visit.
Relationships are a big part to Thomas and his love for the Buckeyes. He said, “I have built great relationships with Coach [Ryan] Day, Coach [Tim] Walton, Coach [Gerren] DuHart and more at Ohio State.” He raved about the experience, “I had a great experience on my visit and had fun watching the game. The team is looking like a national championship contender.” Thomas spoke more about the game and how the Buckeyes played, “They executed on all aspects of the game. I like how the defense completely shut out their opponent.” The Buckeyes “stand high” in his recruitment according to Thomas.

Additionally, the Bergen Catholic Corner can see himself being a Buckeye, “I can see myself being a Buckeye. I think I would be a good fit in their defensive scheme.” To add, other schools are in the mix and a quite a few are in contact. He said, “I am blessed to have 36 division one offers, and at this time I would say most of the schools recruiting me have all kept great communication with me.” Some of the schools in the mix for the corner include Penn State, Georgia, Texas, Michigan and others. In regards to a recruitment timeline, he is focused on his season, and then will “narrow things down afterwards.”
