The Silver Bulletin’s staff makes their picks for Saturday’s matchup between The Ohio State Buckeyes and Grambling State Tigers.
Ohio State’s streak of five consecutive Top 10 opponents comes to an end on Saturday. The Buckeyes welcome Grambling State to Columbus for the first time. Vegas lists the Buckeyes as 55.5 point favorites, a record for the largest spread ever in an Ohio State football game.
Unlike last week, The Silver Bulletin’s staff is in total agreement on an Ohio State victory. However, not everyone has the Buckeyes covering the nearly eight touchdown spread.
Dave: 40-6
Blake: Ohio State’s goals are to win and stay healthy. We will see a heavy rotation today from the Buckeyes. I’ll say five different pass catchers haul in a touchdown pass. Ryan Day’s team wins big. Ohio State 55 Grambling State 3
Dan: Ohio State will not be stopped offensively. Julian Sayin and the wide receivers pad the stat sheet and are out of the game by halftime. The defense also dominates, but a late 4th quarter touchdown gets Grambling State on the board. Buckeyes win 70-7.
Cass: I think the Buckeyes will play a lot of guys! I’m calling for a Bo Jackson touchdown and maybe a defensive score. The starters will be out of the game by the end of the 3rd quarter. Buckeyes win BIG. Ohio Stare 54 Grambling 7
Carson H: It would be nice to see some big plays from the stars of the defense before letting them get some rest and seeing young talent like Devin Sanchez. I think there will be a few turnovers and definitely more sacks than last game when the defense had one sack. The new No. 1-ranked team in the country will flex their muscles and cruise in this one. As Lee Corso said last week in his final College GameDay appearance, give me my first love. Ohio State 56 Grambling 6
TJ: I think we really see the offense explode and see truly how accurate Julian Sayin is once they open it up. Jeremiah Smith big game and the start of his Heisman campaign. Defense will look good again and get some production in the backfield as well. Ready to see what young guys we are excited about afterwards. Mylan Graham and Devin Sanchez are two to lookout for. Ohio State 52-3
AJ: Ohio State 56-3
