Ohio State Recruiting: Commit Carter Lowe Enjoys Visit, Discusses 2025 Class Momentum

Ohio State is enjoying quite a run on the recruiting trail right now, picking up four commitments for the 2025 class in the last two days. First, it was four-star DL London Merritt on Friday night, followed by two more yesterday: four-star WR De’Zie Jones and LB Tarvos Alford. Finally, earlier today, four-star safety DeShawn Stewart pledged to the Buckeyes.

Additionally, the Buckeyes hosted several other notable prospects, including five-star OT David Sanders, five-star WR Jaime Ffrench, four-star WR Phillip Bell, four-star RB Jordon Davison, and many more- including Lowe and QB commit Tavien St. Clair.

“[My visit] was great! I got to talk to David Sanders for a while and get to know him. I also talked to Tavien, we talk pretty often so it was good to see him again,” Lowe toldĀ The Silver Bulletin.

Lowe is rated as the No.7 OT and the No. 55 player overall, in addition to being the No. 3 player in the state of Ohio (trailing only St. Clair and safety target Richard McNutt). The Whitmer HS star is an anchor to the Buckeyes 2025 class, as an elite in-state prospect who elected to shut down his recruitment and commit early to Ohio State.

His influence, plus that of St. Clair and others, has led to an extremely strong momentum boost as of late for the Ohio State 2025 class.

“The buzz around OSU recruiting right now has been really loud. Who wouldn’t want to play along with the best players in the country?” Excited to see what the future holds in the next couple months for the 2025 class,” Lowe toldĀ The Silver Bulletin.

Ohio State’s 2025 group currently features 11 commits and is rated as the No. 3 overall class in the country.
