Ohio State assistant coach Larry Johnson, known for his recruiting prowess, is already creating a buzz in the 2024 class with several top recruits on the defensive line. One of those top recruits is four-star defensive tackle Jayden Jackson. The Indiana native for the past few weeks has been trending towards the Buckeyes. Jackson recently dropped a top five, including Oklahoma, Miami, Texas, Florida, and Ohio State.
First and foremost I want to thank God for his continuous blessings, I also would like to thank my Mom for everything that she has done for me. With that being said I will be taking the next step in my recruiting process. TOP 5 pic.twitter.com/eDYEy1UR74

Since the top schools release, the Buckeyes have been trending upwards in this recruitment. Keep in mind, Jackson is an Indiana native, before moving to Florida to attend the prestigious football factory IMG Academy.
Jackson said this about getting the Ohio State offer: “It felt unreal, I’ve always dreamed of going [to Ohio State].”
Jackson was in Columbus for the Spring Game and enjoyed it. Jackson also loves coach Larry Johnson, “He’s just a great guy all around.”
Jackson does not have a return date to Columbus set yet, but I definitely see him coming for an Official Visit at some point this summer or fall.
Jackson is a “Mover” on the defensive line and a huge factor to the IMG Defense. The Buckeyes are battling Miami, Florida and Texas for his commitment and while nothing is set in stone, Ohio State feels they are in a good spot as of now. If the Buckeyes continue to trend the right way for Jackson, the Buckeyes might get a commitment when it all wraps up.
