Ohio State Football: Buckeyes To Host Three Transfers this Weekend

This weekend, the Buckeyes will host three top transfers from all over the nation. While other Buckeyes such as Ben Christman and Caleb Burton entered the transfer portal, the Buckeyes look to add some talent.

Notre Dame WR/CB Lorenzo Styles Jr

Out of the three, Notre Dame Transfer Junior Lorenzo Styles Jr will be one to keep an eye on as he is brothers with Buckeye safety Sonny Styles. Styles is set to be in Columbus this weekend and is slated to make the position change to cornerback wherever he ends up. There is a belief Lorenzo ends up in Columbus. Styles would be a solid depth piece at Corner for the Buckeyes, who also added Davison Igbinosun to the cornerbacks room this offseason.

Styles was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and picked the Irish over Ohio State. He was ranked #115 Nationally, #20 WR and #5 in Ohio.

San Diego State OT Josh Simmons

From San Diego State will be 6’6 Offensive Tackle Josh Simmons will also be making a visit to Columbus this weekend. He was a full time starter for the Aztecs and was solid. Simmons is looking forward to his visit and his interest in the Buckeyes is high. Originally from San Diego, Simmons would be a huge addition in Columbus as many fear an offensive tackle problem in Columbus. Funny enough, Offensive line coach Justin Frye recruited Simmons when coach Frye was at UCLA.

Simmons was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and picked San Diego State over notable programs such as Georgia, Oklahoma State, UCLA and more.

Ole Miss DT Tywone Malone

Lastly, Ole Miss Transfer DT Tywone Malone will make a visit to Columbus. Malone played Baseball and Football at Ole Miss and was solid for the Rebels on the Defensive Line. An Ohio State target while in high school, the Buckeyes are certainly hoping to land Malone with their second chance. If the Buckeyes could land Malone the defensive tackle depth and room in general is looking great. He also could join former Ole Miss teammate and the aformentioned-now Buckeye CB Davison Igbinosun in Columbus. They both are from New Jersey as well.

Malone was a four-star recruit and top 75 player in the nation coming out of high school. He picked Ole Miss over many programs such as Alabama, Florida State, Texas A&M, and more.
