Ohio State Men’s Basketball’s 2026-27 Big Ten schedule is revealed, featuring home-and-home battles with Michigan and Iowa, plus a demanding road slate.
The Buckeyes’ complete 2026-27 conference schedule was revealed Wednesday night during the Big Ten Network’s live schedule release, giving Jake Diebler and Ohio State a roadmap of the challenge ahead.
Ohio State enters its second season under Diebler with a roster built around returning pieces John Mobley Jr. and Amare Bynum, along with newcomers brought in to add depth and versatility. The Big Ten schedule will test that depth.

The Buckeyes will play a 20-game conference schedule, with three opponents appearing twice: Iowa, Penn State, and rival Michigan. Ohio State will play each of those teams once at home and once on the road. The remaining 14 conference opponents will be played once.
Big Ten Conference Opponents
Michigan immediately stands out, as the Wolverines are Ohio State’s biggest conference rival. The two programs will meet twice during the regular season. Iowa and Penn State also return to the schedule twice, creating six games with added importance within the conference race.
The rest of the Big Ten slate includes home games against Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Oregon, Rutgers, Washington and Wisconsin. Ohio State will travel to Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, UCLA and USC.
That road schedule includes trips across the country, with UCLA and USC representing two of Ohio State’s western conference destinations.
The conference portion of the season begins December 2, when Ohio State visits Nebraska. The Buckeyes will also welcome Oregon to Columbus on the 30th before ramping up around the start of the new year. The regular season concludes in March, setting the stage for the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis.
The schedule gives Ohio State plenty of opportunities to build its NCAA Tournament resume inside the conference. The Buckeyes return Mobley, who made 174 three-pointers while shooting 40 percent from three over his first two seasons, and Bynum after a strong freshman campaign.
Ohio State spent the offseason addressing the depth concerns that affected the roster a year ago, adding experienced guards and frontcourt pieces around its returning talent. Expectations have increased around this team, especially its depth and size.
The non-conference slate features Kansas at Madison Square Garden, UConn, and Notre Dame, but the Big Ten schedule will ultimately shape Ohio State’s season.
