Taison Chatman is the fourth Buckeye to announce his decision to transfer, joining Devin Royal, Colin White, and Gabe Cupps. Chatman dealt with season-ending injuries in his first season with the Buckeyes. The redshirt sophomore appeared in 28 games this season, averaging 4.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists.
The former 5-star recruit will now look for a fresh start with another program. Chatman headlined Ohio State’s 2023 recruiting class as the No. 39 overall recruit in the cycle.
The Buckeyes are not messing around as they prepare for the portal to open. Coach Jake Diebler and company are gearing up for a massive roster overhaul and are expected to be active in the transfer portal. Chatman was one of the many pieces expected to move on, and now it’s official.
