Ryan Day Sees Depth
Wide Receivers: Jeremiah Smith, Kyle Parker, Devin McCuin, Brandon Inniss, Brock Boyd, and Chris Henry Jr. How will they fit into Ohio State’s offense this season? Brock Boyd continues to stand out, as did Devin McCuin, on Saturday during Student Appreciation Day. Is college football prepared for Year 3 Jeremiah Smith?
Defensive Backs: Earl Little Jr., Jay Timmons, Dominick Kelly, Jermaine Matthews, Terry Moore, and Devin Sanchez. Little continues to receive praise and attention from his coaches and teammates as the Buckeyes attempt to replace Caleb Downs. Ryan Day mentions two defensive names to watch on the backside of the defense.
Biscardi and Davis also go in depth on the running backs and offensive line, as Ohio State is shorthanded in both position groups this spring. Which players are flashing or stepping up? What role can Legend Bey expect to have as a freshman?
Ryan Day mentioned today that offensive linemen Austin Siereveld and Philip Daniels will miss the remainder of the spring but will be back for a full summer and fall camp. Is this Ian Moore’s moment to assert himself as a starter up front?
Plus, Ohio State’s history and blueprint of developing NFL talent, and which guys could be next in the pipeline? Find out how defensive line coach Larry Johnson is challenging James Smith. Finally, a discussion surrounding special teams, which has plagued the Buckeyes during the Ryan Day era. Is Connor Hawkins the answer at kicker, or is it too early to tell?
