Ohio State hosts Rutgers on Senior Day in Columbus, looking to handle business and stay focused ahead of The Game.

Ohio State enters Saturday’s contest against Rutgers at 10-0, looking to stay perfect heading into Rivalry Week. Rutgers has a solid passing attack, so the Silver Bullets could be in for a more competitive afternoon. The Buckeyes will be up for the challenge, but they will also add pressure of their own through the air, even short-handed.

Let’s take a look at our TSB Staff predictions for Ohio State vs. Rutgers:

Dave: Ohio State 34 Rutgers 10

Blake: Saturday is Senior Day for Ohio State, which means sending them out the right way. This game against Rutgers will be all business, albeit likely without a few starters. Regardless, Ohio State will continue to play its game and control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Ryan Day and Brian Hartline open up the playbook and turn up the gas a little more this week. Ohio State 34 Rutgers 6

Dan: Ohio State follows a similar script to Purdue and UCLA. West and Peoples have big days on the ground. Buckeyes win 42-17.

Cass: It is Senior Day in the Horseshoe Saturday and the week before “The Game.” I think Ryan Day speeds this game up. Buckeyes go out, run the ball, and get Julian Sayin his stats as well, and Buckeyes win handily to send the Seniors out! Buckeyes 35 Scarlet Knights 7

Carson H: Rutgers is sixth in the Big Ten in total yards per game, just two spots behind Ohio State. They are third in passing yards per game, just one place behind the Buckeyes, but are not as highly ranked on the ground.

Rutgers’ weakness is its defense, as it ranks last in total defense, allowing 425.5 total yards per game. Their passing defense is the third-worst, while their rushing defense is the worst. No matter who is out for the Buckeyes, they should have no problem dicing up that Rutgers defense.

Everyone should get involved, including many seniors, with some potential special plays in the cards. It will be a similar game and script to last week, with the biggest game of the year following this one. I could see three guys with rushing touchdowns again, with Brandon Inniss and Max Klare helping out in the passing game. The Buckeyes roll and will be undefeated heading into The Game. Ohio State 45 Rutgers 10

TJ: Buckeyes roll over Rutgers, making quick work of them. They head into The Game 11-0, looking to keep their perfect season alive. Look out for Bryson Rodgers to get more and more love on offense, proving he is the true four behind the starting 3. Ohio State 38 Rutgers 3

Carson M: Buckeyes take an early lead and never look back in this one. 45-10… call it a sign of what’s to come on November 29th

AJ: Ohio State 49 Rutgers 3

Alex: Ohio State 35 Rutgers 3
