2024 Four-Star EDGE Elias Rudolph has his sights set on an official visit to Ohio State as the Buckeyes are emerging as a top contender.
Over the past few months, the Buckeyes have been settling their board on the offense. However, the defense is a huge priority heading into the summer. A name to watch for the Buckeyes is four-star EDGE Elias Rudolph, who recently revealed his top four and official visit dates. His official visit to Columbus is on June 23rd. There have been rumors of a possible return to Ohio for his senior season of football as well. But it seems like he will stay in Deerfield Beach.

Although Rudolph has moved to Florida, do not count out the Buckeyes. Rudolph says, “I can see myself being a Buckeye, because of Larry Johnson, Ryan Day and the staff at Ohio State, and the alumni, past athletes that became veterans and still some of the best defensive linemen playing today.” He was a former in-state recruit for the Ohio State, but despite the move, it still feels like a typical Midwest recruiting battle.

Rudolph also has a great connection with the Ohio State coaching staff, “Me, and Coach J (Larry Johnson) got a strong relationship on a deeper level than football, I connect with different coaches on the staff, and it pretty much is a great conversation.” Rudolph also shared his big factor of his recruitment, “The love and experience! I have been recruited by some very big veterans in the college community, so that is an honor and a grateful blessing that I hold.”
Heading into his official visits, Rudolph has a lot to evaluate. The four-star EDGE explains, “I’m just looking for the best opportunity within my officials., the places will speak for themselves.” After his official visits, Rudolph plans to focus on a decision: “I plan to take my June officials, sit down with myself, then sit down with my mom and mentors.”

Ohio State in a great spot for Rudolph but will battle Pitt, Michigan, and Miami. “My interest goes above and beyond for my officials at Pitt, Michigan, and Ohio State, and highly for Miami just in the back of the line due to late notice.” The reason Rudolph picked those four programs has a lot to do with his future “These schools are in my final decision because I feel that these are the schools that would best justify for developing me on and off the field and would be most impactful for my future.”
A commitment to Ohio State would not be shocking to the recruiting world but watch Michigan and Pitt. The official visits will decide a commitment for Rudolph. It seems like an Ohio State vs Michigan battle for the lead as it currently stands.
