The Seattle Seahawks have selected former Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba with the No. 20 overall pick. JSN’s draft stock became questionable following an injury-riddled season. However, he still remained high on most draft boards. Smith-Njigba will be a tremendous addition to the offense for Seahawks, showcasing his abilities out of the slot position.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 110 passes for 1,698 yards and ten touchdowns during his career in Columbus and was widely considered the best receiver in college football in each of the last two seasons. His top performance was the 2022 Rose Bowl, where he caught 15 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns.
The Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Jets were all rumored to select JSN. Ultimately, the Seattle Seahawks draft him where he will link up with DK Metcalf in a dynamic offense with Geno Smith at quarterback.
Smith-Njigba’s 6’1 frame fills out at 196 pounds, and his shifty nature and precise route running make him a coverage nightmare. He was coached by the best WR coach in the country in Brian Hartline. Expect him to be ready to go and fully recovered from his hamstring injury. JSN at pick 20 is an excellent value for Seattle.
