Ohio State added a big-time prospect to their defensive line room as 2023 Indianapolis four-star Joshua Mickens announced today that he will be committing to the Buckeyes, on the first day of the Early Signing Period.

Mickens, rated as the No. 113 overall prospect in the country, the No. 12 EDGE, and the No. 1 player in the state of Indiana, took a visit to Ohio State for the rivalry game against Michigan. Despite the Buckeyes coming out defeated, they evidently showed Mickens enough on the visit to get him to back away from his previous LSU pledge and instead head to Columbus to continue his football career.
The Buckeyes currently have one of the best defensive line classes in 2023. Mickens is joined by fellow four-stars Jason Moore and Will Smith Jr., and are also battling for a commitment from five-star west coast prospect Matayo Uiagaleilei.
