Ohio State Running Back Miyan Williams Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

After a five-touchdown performance against Rutgers, Ohio State running back Miyan Williams has been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.

Williams tied an Ohio State school record with five rushing touchdowns, also piling up 189 yards on just 21 carries to lead the Buckeyes to a 49-10 victory over Rutgers to wrap up a five-game homestand. With fellow backfield mate TreVeyon Henderson unable to play in the game due to injury, Williams assumed the role of bell-cow for the Buckeyes.  Williams is now the third Ohio State player to win the award this season, joining wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and quarterback CJ Stroud.

A three-star recruit from Cincinnati, Williams has burst onto the scene in 2022 recording 497 yards to go with a career-high eight touchdowns just five games into the 2022 season.
