Cavazos, a former four-star recruit, originally committed to Urban Meyer back in June of 2018 before de-committing after Meyer’s retirement. After visiting Florida and Miami, he re-pledged to the Buckeyes in April of 2019 and subsequently spent two seasons with the Buckeyes.
Cavazos was buried on the depth chart behind several other cornerbacks and safeties, and elected to transfer in order to find more immediate playing time. One school that could be in the running is Boston College, where Jeff Hafley, who was a primary recruiter for Cavazos while at Ohio State, is now the head coach.
