Ohio State Offensive Line Coach Greg Studrawa Will Not Return in 2022

After six up-and-down seasons in Columbus, it was reported on Thursday that offensive line coach Greg Studrawa would not return to Ohio State for the 2022 season.

Ohio State’s season featured significant inconsistency along the offensive line, in part due to the Buckeyes starting four natural tackles along the line, including at both guard positions. That, combined with Studrawa’s health issues (he had back surgery earlier in 2021) and lack of recruiting prowess, meant it was time for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes to move on.

That is not to say it was all doom-and-gloom for Studrawa in Columbus, however. He coached several Rimington Award winners (Pat Elflein, Billy Price), and put others into the NFL (Michael Jordan, Jamarco Jones, Jonah Jackson, among others).

But the struggles were just too much to overcome, and Studrawa’s time in Columbus is now over.
