Ohio State Wide Receiver Garrett Wilson Officially Declares for 2022 NFL Draft

After a stellar three-year career in Columbus, Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Wilson has officially made the expected move and announced he will be declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft. He will not play in Ohio State’s upcoming Rose Bowl game against Utah.

Wilson was a truly elite player as a Buckeye. He finishes his career with 2,213 receiving yards (including a 1,058 yard campaign in 2021), good for 10th all-time in Ohio State history. He snagged 23 touchdowns (7th all-time in Ohio State history) through the air and added one on the ground as well.

A five-star recruit out of Austin, Texas, Wilson was the highest-rated offensive signee in Ohio State’s 2019 recruiting class, sticking with Ryan Day after originally committing to Urban Meyer. Alongside Chris Olave and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Wilson formed a deadly trio that was called the best in the country by many analysts.

Wilson is projected to be a first-round pick in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft, and could be the first wide receiver taken.
