Back in early January during their College Football Playoff run, the Buckeyes started getting busy on the trail, traveling and checking on recruits. On one of those trips 2026 four-star EDGE Ebenezer Ewetade received an offer from Ohio State. The Buckeyes quickly have become a contender for the North Carolina native. He spoke to The Silver Bulletin about his Ohio State offer and more.
After a great conversation with @N_Murph i’m blessed to receive an offer from @OhioStateFB

The offer is a meaningful one for Ewetade, “This offer means a lot to me, just like every other offer it wouldn’t be possible without God.” He added, “And it’s an opportunity to further better myself, my family, and my community.” He mentioned what stands out to him about Ohio State: “The amazing defensive line. There is a long line of great defensive linemen that have come from the Buckeyes.” The Buckeye offer makes an impact on his recruitment to their success. He spoke highly about the Buckeyes, “The Buckeyes are high on my list. Definitely in my top four.” The pass rusher can see himself being a Buckeye. Ewetade said, “I can see myself being a Buckeye because they produce a lot of great defensive linemen and I’d love to be one of them. Also, their energy is unmatched, and their fanbase is amazing.”
Ewetade has gained quite a few more offers since Ohio State. Schools like Georgia, Alabama, Notre Dame, and a few others are also heavily involved. He sees himself committing in the summertime. The South Garner (N.C.) product has quite a few schools in the mix. But, it is expected the Buckeyes will be in the race until the end.
