The Buckeyes have reached the top of the college football world for the ninth time in program history. A lot comes with that, especially on the recruiting side of things. It’s safe to say, a lot of eyes are on the Buckeyes. A ton of recruits chimed in to The Silver Bulletin about the Buckeyes win.
Ohio State Commitment 27′ Five-Star QB Brady Edmunds: “Coach Day is the best head coach in football. Never had doubt. GO BUCKS.”
’26 four-star OT Adam Guthrie: “Ohio against the world! That’s what it always has been! BIA.”‘
’26 four-star LB Shaun Scott: “GO BUCKS!!! Best In America.”
’26 four-star LB Cincere Johnson: “Ohio State is leading my recruiting, they dominated all year and that game was proof in the pudding. Great game, they deserve it.”
’26 three-star WR Tayshon Bardo: “It’s Ohio State couldn’t expect anything less!”
’26 four-star RB Jae Lamar: “Ohio State went and played as if they were determined they were going to win! Go Buckeyes!”
’27 four-star OL Jayden Dean: “Great win for the boys in Columbus. Coach Frye had the big fellas locked in all night. Going into halftime up 14 points most teams take their foot off the gas.” Dean added, “But Coach Day, Coach Frye, and Coach Kelly kept those guys locked in for the rest of the night and they came out as national champs. Super proud of the offensive line for the great movement they got up front to lead Ohio State’s offense to rush for 214 yards.”
’26 five-star ATH Brandon Arrington Jr: “Best in America.”
’26 four-star DL Simote Katoanga: “It was a great game! Both teams played well and loved what I saw from both teams. Happy for my guys Coach Larry Johnson and Coach Chip Kelly! Can’t wait to come back to Columbus!”
’26 four-star OL Darius Gray: “Excited for the program!!”
’26 four-star DB Jordan Thomas: “What a great way to end off a great season! Congratulations to Ohio State on a great season and managing to bring home the National Championship to the state of Ohio! Well earned.”
’26 four-star OL Micah Smith: “Ohio State winning the national championship was awesome. I think the players and the entire staff accomplished their goal. I thought the run game was awesome.” Smith added, “The offensive line did a tremendous job sticking to their blocks and assignments. Donovan Jackson and the OL played with solid technique and really wore out the defensive front of ND. This momentum should allow for the Buckeyes to gain traction with players in my class.”
Ohio State commit, ’26 five-star WR Chris Henry Jr: “This is why I want to be a Buckeye, I’m proud of the guys. I can’t wait to get up there.”
’26 five-star CB Elbert Hill: “I’m so happy for those guys just from being from Ohio.”
’28 four-star EDGE Asher Ghioto: “I knew going into this game Ohio State had the ability dominate this game and they did just that. Not only did they dominate but they dominated the trenches with sacks and TFLs all over the field.” Ghioto added, “They are a dominant team and I could definitely see myself being apart of that.”
