2026 five-star ATH Brandon Arrington talks to The Silver Bulletin about his interest in the Buckeyes and their big win over Oregon.
Ohio State has dominated their first two playoff games, with big time performances against Tennessee and most recently Oregon in the Rose Bowl. That win caught the eyes of many recruits in the country, including 2026 five-star ATH Brandon Arrington Jr from La Mesa, California. Arrington is heavily interested in the Buckeyes despite not yet having an offer from them. He spoke with The Silver Bulletin about his interest in Ohio State and more about his recruitment.

First, there was one thing that stood out to him in the Buckeyes win over Oregon. He said, “What stood out to me was Jeremiah Smith doing his thing. I wasn’t expecting 4 touchdowns.” He is very interested in the Buckeyes, but he hasn’t talked to the staff yet. But he wants that to change, “Hopefully they start recruiting me. I am really interested in Ohio State but they haven’t offered me yet.” He talks about what sticks out to him about Ohio State, “I feel like Ohio State is just a great development school. If you want to get to that next level you would go to Ohio State because they just don’t recruit they develop. You can see by years going on.”
Despite the heavy interest in Ohio State, Arrington has a lot of other schools on his top list. He mentioned the schools at the top, “Texas A&M, USC, Georgia, Oregon, Oklahoma, Florida State, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Nebraska.” With that all being said, a commitment could happen around spring, more specifically before July. There is definitely a possibility we can see the Buckeyes make a move for Arrington, but only time will tell.
