Ohio State Recruiting: 2026 Texas CB Braylon Edwards Raves About Ohio State Spring Game Visit

Ohio State held its annual Spring Game on April 13th, providing fans with a first look at the 2024 football team. They hosted some top prospects, and potential names to watch for the 2026 class.

One of those was 2026 CB Braylon Edwards, who raved to The Silver Bulletin about his Spring Game visit.

Moreover, the atmosphere was special for Edwards, “The atmosphere was outrageous, the fans were crazy.” This was his first Ohio State visit. Specifically, one player stood out to Edwards, “Caleb Downs. He was making plays all over the field.” The Spring Game was a huge step for Ohio State in his recruitment. Edwards raved about the championship pedigree when we spoke to him, as he continued to say good things about the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes are a team high on this list, despite an offer not being extended yet. “SMU, Coastal Carolina, [and] North Texas are at the top because they are the ones that offered me.” But, Coach Walton continues to make his name known on the trail, “I love Coach Walton’s swag. He has a true DB swagger.” In addition, he talked about Graduate Assistant Coach Gerren DuHart, “Coach DuHart said he would like to see me at camp this summer.”

Edwardstold us what stands out from the Buckeyes more than other schools, “From watching the DBs they seem to have the freedom to roam some and be you. I love being everywhere.” The Buckeyes are high on his list as said, without an offer. But, it is still very early on for his recruitment. Edwards will be visiting other schools this summer, and a return to Ohio State is in the works. But, LSU, Oklahoma, USC, and Michigan State are going to receive a visit from Edwards. But, game visits are going to depend on the future, but it is a possibility.
