Ohio State football is in the middle of its Spring practice schedule, and welcomed high-profile visitors to campus, notably 2026 Edge Cam Thomas.
On March 22nd, Ohio State had a spring practice and hosted some top talent. One of those is a frequent visitor to Columbus as 2026 EDGE Cam Thomas made the trip.

Moreover, the Buckeyes had a great practice, “The practice was intense. The defense is flying around right now. During [the] individual period and team period the defense was really up-tempo.” Thomas talked to The Silver Bulletin about his predictions for the defense, “I think the defense will be explosive. Making plays behind the line because the DBs look like they will have things on lock. They forced a lot of turnovers in practice. That should continue on Saturday’s.”
One thing that stuck out to Thomas player wise was Freshman Star WR Jeremiah Smith, “I noticed Jeremiah Smith is special. He made a few great plays. Was not surprised he got his black stripe off Thursday.”
He added, “I’ve seen a few Ohio State practices. Coach Day sets a good tone for the day and all the periods are intense.” Thomas went into detail with newly appointed Linebackers Coach James Laurnitatis, “Coach really has an attention to detail approach. All the individual periods are about teaching and then getting as much reps as possible. Linebackers are going to be physical.”

Now, Ohio State is one of the top teams for Thomas and a return could be soon. “Hopefully I’ll be back for the spring game. I have a pretty busy spring schedule right now but i’ll try to work it out. I’ll definitely be back up for camp in the summer, possibly June.” But, the Buckeyes are huge players in his recruitment, “I feel like a priority for my class. I’ve been up there a lot so, all the coaches know my name so I have a great relationship with the program. I think the plan is to speed up my recruitment in the summer after camp. I’m looking forward to performing well.”
