Kirks was a former commit to Washington, but then found his home in Columbus. Furthermore, during his commitment to Washington he considered USC, and was showing some interest in Michigan State. Kirks stands in at 6’4 and weighs 255lbs. The former Washington commit is a great grab for the Buckeyes, with his great size and technique. Also, he is very hard to contain alone, his pass rushing skills are impressive. If developed right, he could be an absolute problem for Big Ten offenses.
Going into his visit, his excitement was high. He’s always called the Buckeyes the home team. Clearly, that played a factor. It was a no-brainer for Kirks.
The commitment of Kirks finishes off the 2024 class on a strong finish. Kirks will join a fun DL room. He’s got potential to be the next instate Buckeye legend, but time will prove that. The talented DL attended Riverside High School in Painesville, Ohio this past season, where he was a huge part of their defense. The talent with Kirks in the 2024 class is off the charts.
According to 247sports composite, he is ranked as the #251 prospect nationally. Additionally, he is ranked as the #12 Player in Ohio.
