White stands at 6-foot-6, 180 pounds and will provide much-needed length on the perimeter for Ohio State. He is the No. 114 overall player in the 2024 class out of Ottawa, OH, and chose to play in Columbus over Northwestern, Cincinnati, Butler, and TCU.
The Buckeyes are White’s hometown team, so this will be a dream fulfilled to put on the scarlet and gray.
According to 247 Sports, Colin White said the following about his recruitment and the Buckeyes. “It’s the hometown school, and I’ve had a relationship with them for two years now. I love coach Holtmann and Diebler over there. Their style of play is great. They’ve developed NBA guards three of the past four years and in the tournament five of the last six. Last year was a little bit of an off year, but I know they’ll get it together. It’s a very attractive option.”
It’s clear White feels he’ll fit right into Holtmann’s system and be effective in Columbus, as evidenced by his decision today.
