Five-Star Wide Receiver Jett Harrison commits to Ohio State as the Buckeyes land the little brother of Marvin Harrison Jr.

Ohio State has landed one of the biggest commitments in the 2028 recruiting class as five-star wide receiver Jett Harrison announced his commitment to the Buckeyes. Harrison chose Ohio State after building a strong relationship with the coaching staff, giving the Buckeyes another elite playmaker at the wide receiver position.

The Harrison name is already legendary in football. Jett is the younger brother of Marvin Harrison Jr. and the son of Marvin Harrison. While those are incredibly big shoes to fill, Jett has quickly proven he is carving out his own path and establishing himself as one of the premier prospects in the country.

What Ohio State is Getting

Harrison is one of the most polished receivers in the 2028 class. As a five-star prospect, he brings a complete skill set that has made him one of the nation’s most sought-after recruits. He runs crisp routes, creates separation with ease, and has outstanding ball skills that allow him to consistently make difficult catches.

Like his older brother, Harrison has a natural feel for the position. He tracks the football exceptionally well, has dependable hands, and understands how to use his body to create space against defensive backs. His football IQ stands out every time he steps on the field, making him a dangerous weapon against any level of defense.

His athleticism and playmaking ability make him a perfect fit for Ohio State’s offense, where the Buckeyes continue to produce some of the nation’s top wide receivers.

The Harrison Legacy Continues in Columbus

There was always going to be attention surrounding Harrison’s recruitment because of his family ties, but Ohio State never recruited him simply because of his last name. The Buckeyes recruited him because he is one of the best players in the country.

Having watched his brother develop into one of the greatest receivers in Ohio State history and a first-round NFL Draft pick, Harrison understands exactly what the Buckeyes can offer. He has seen firsthand the culture, player development, and preparation that have made Ohio State the standard for wide receiver play.

Now, he has the opportunity to continue that family legacy while creating one of his own.

Another Huge Win for the Buckeyes

Ohio State continues to separate itself as the premier destination for elite wide receivers. Year after year, the Buckeyes land some of the nation’s top talent, and Harrison is another statement addition to that tradition.

His commitment gives Ohio State a cornerstone piece in the 2028 class and another player capable of becoming a future star in Columbus. Between his talent, work ethic, and football pedigree, Harrison has all the tools to continue the Buckeyes’ rich history at the position.

Final Thoughts

Landing Jett Harrison is about far more than adding a famous last name to the roster. Ohio State is getting one of the best wide receivers in the 2028 class and a player with tremendous upside. While comparisons to Marvin Harrison Jr. will naturally follow him throughout his career, Jett has every opportunity to build his own legacy in Scarlet and Gray.

For Ryan Day and the Buckeyes, this is another massive recruiting victory and another reminder that Columbus remains the destination for elite wide receiver talent.
