2027 Four-star quarterback Brady Edmunds has shut down his recruitment and will sign with the Ohio State Buckeyes in December.

Brady Edmunds has been committed to Ohio State since December of 2024. Edmunds’ commitment seemed to be in a good place until a couple of months ago when Ohio State started to show interest in other quarterbacks. After visiting UCLA, Edmunds has now officially made his decision.

Following a wave of speculation that typically accompanies a prospect of his caliber, Edmunds reaffirmed his commitment to Ohio State on Thursday and completely shut down his recruitment.

This decisive move brings immediate clarity to the Buckeyes’ future offensive outlook, eliminating any lingering uncertainty and cementing his role as the cornerstone of the 2027 class. By shutting the door on outside overtures, Edmunds demonstrates a firm commitment to the vision laid out by Ryan Day and the coaching staff in Columbus.

Brady Edmunds has proven himself to be one of the best quarterbacks in the 2027 class. The Huntington Prep product had a fantastic season, throwing for 2,724 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Edmunds brings elite size at 6-foot-5 and has proven himself to be a solid athlete. Edmunds ranks as the No. 20 quarterback in the country according to 247Sports.

With his recruitment officially put to bed, his focus shifts toward his senior season and continued development on the field. He gains an opportunity to build skill as a leader within the program, while preparing for Columbus. For a position as vital as quarterback, having an anchor firmly locked in early provides invaluable stability as the program builds out the rest of the class.

Edmunds is one of many big-time commits in the Buckeyes’ 2027 recruiting class. In addition to Edmunds, the Buckeyes hold commitments from elite talents including Jamier Brown, Kellen Wymer, DJ Jacobs, Wyatt Smith, and more.
