Ohio State and Indiana on a Collision Course: Blake Biscardi’s Full College Football Playoff Bracket Prediction
The College Football Playoff has expanded, but the margins are still razor-thin. Championships still come down to matchups, execution, and who can withstand pressure.
After breaking down the bracket, the path to the national title runs through the Big Ten, and it ends with a familiar rematch.
First Round:
Oklahoma over Alabama
The Sooners have been tested all season and enter the playoff playing their most complete football. Alabama’s talent is undeniable, but Oklahoma’s balance on both sides of the ball gives them the edge in a tight, physical game. The injuries for the Tide are a major concern for me, too.
Oregon over James Madison
James Madison deserves credit for reaching this stage, but Oregon’s speed, depth, and offensive firepower prove too much. The Ducks control the tempo early and never let the door fully open.
Ole Miss over Tulane
Ole Miss’s explosiveness shows up. Tulane fights, but the Rebels’ skill separates in the second half.
Miami over Texas A&M
This feels like a tone-setting win for Miami. The Hurricanes play fast, aggressive football and capitalize on momentum swings, outlasting Texas A&M in one of the more entertaining games of the opening round.
Quarterfinals:
Indiana over Oklahoma
Indiana has quietly built one of the most disciplined and resilient teams in the country. They force Oklahoma into uncomfortable situations, win the turnover battle, and continue their historic run with a statement victory.
Georgia over Ole Miss
Ole Miss’s journey ends here. Georgia’s physicality, depth, and postseason experience take over as the Bulldogs grind the game down and impose their will late.
Oregon over Texas Tech
Texas Tech’s season has been impressive, but Oregon’s ability to stretch the field and control tempo proves decisive. The Ducks execute cleanly and move on, peaking at the right time.
Ohio State over Miami
This is where Ohio State’s championship DNA shows. Miami brings energy and speed, but the Buckeyes’ balance, trench play, and situational execution carry them through.
Semifinals:
Indiana over Oregon
For the second time this season, Indiana proves it belongs. Oregon has the talent, but Indiana’s composure and game management shine through in another high-stakes win.
Ohio State over Georgia
This is the game everyone circles, and it delivers. Ohio State and Georgia trade blows, but the Buckeyes’ ability to finish drives and get key stops late becomes the difference in a classic playoff battle.
National Championship:
The national title comes down to the Midwest: Ohio State vs. Indiana, a rematch of the Big Ten Championship.
Indiana has already proven it can win on this stage. But rematches in college football rarely play out the same way, especially two games in a row.
Ohio State enters with lessons learned and adjustments made. The Buckeyes play their most complete game of the season by controlling the line of scrimmage, capitalizing on scoring opportunities, and making the critical plays when it matters most.
