Ohio State Football Recruiting: 2026 Three-Star OL Tucker Smith Talks Ohio State Offer and Recruitment

The Buckeyes have been getting back into the grooves of the spring season. In the midst of that, their recruiting efforts have been on full display and they’ve hosted some top talent to watch them practice. One of those prospects is 2026 three-star OL Tucker Smith out of Glendale, Arizona. He received the offer while on his visit, and the Buckeyes are a school heavily in the mix now. He spoke to The Silver Bulletin about the offer, the visit, and his recruitment.

The Arizona native left Columbus with a big-time offer, “It was one of the most exciting and shocking experiences I’ve experienced with my recruiting. It was massive.” A lot stands out to Smith about the Ohio State program but one thing stuck out the most, “How perfected everything is at the school.” Despite that, he is still growing a relationship with Coach Bowen, he said, “My relationship with Coach Bowen is still growing.” He spoke highly of the new offensive line coach, “What sticks out about him is that he is an extremely intelligent offensive line coach. He knows what he is doing.”

A return visit is definitely on Smith’s schedule, “I do plan on returning to Ohio State in the future.” The Buckeyes do have some competition for the Arizona offensive lineman. He has visits scheduled to USC, Arizona State, and Kansas State. But others are involved with those three, including Minnesota and Oregon State. He said they stick out because “They like me and I like what they’re doing at their schools.” A decision could be soon as he’s nearing the end of his recruitment. Needless to say, this could be an interesting recruitment for the Buckeyes.
