The Buckeyes have been busy on the trail recruiting during the contact period, despite coming off a big victory in the Cotton Bowl and preparing for the national championship game. The Buckeyes staff recently offered 2028 OT Grayson Williams from North Carolina. It’s very rare to see the Buckeyes make an offer to a freshman out of high school. Williams spoke with The Silver Bulletin about the offer.
First off AGTG and to all my coach.I am happy to say I have a offer @OhioStateFB state @N_Murph @Bulldog_Recruit @Coach_BSimmons @E_clazz @TrenchesElite @AlPopsFootball pic.twitter.com/bJg6FVuY2f

The offer is a motivational one for the young tackle, “The offer just makes me wanna work 10x times harder.” He added what sticks out to him about Ohio State, “What stands out is that I feel like they really do care about me, and they don’t make me feel like just a number.” The impact from Buckeye Nation has been noticed by Williams as he’s gained tons and tons of social media followers since the offer. That’s one thing that has impacted him. Williams spoke about where the Buckeyes stand in his recruitment, “They stand on the top because I have never felt this way on nobody else’s visit.”
After the Buckeyes offer, he has earned offers from Maryland and Florida State. Williamse told us that he could reclassify to the 2027 class. The 6’4 281lbs tackle has big goals for his sophomore season, “To make all-conference again and to get ranked.” Ohio State could be a big player in Williams’ recruitment, but there is a ton of time for his recruitment to take off.
