Despite the Buckeyes being fresh off a national championship, they have been very busy on the recruiting trail these past few days. Well, WR’s coach Brian Hartline was in California and extended an offer to 2027 four-star CB Duvay Williams. But the twist is Hartline offered Williams as a Wide Receiver. Williams is the #1 CB in his class. He spoke to The Silver Bulletin about the offer and more.
Furthermore, the offer is a big one for Williams, “This offer means a lot to me. You know the Buckeyes just coming off a national championship and I love that they see something in me.” He also told us that he is being recruited as a WR, “I am being recruited as a wide receiver, even though I’m the number one DB in my class and he loved my offensive film.” Williams also spoke on what stands out about Ohio State, “You know they have a great coaching staff. They have the top three wide receiver room in the nation and they are just coming off a national championship.”

However, Williams is close with current 2027 Ohio State Commitment five-star QB Brady Edmunds. Edmunds has been recruiting Williams. He said, “Me and Brady have known each other since middle school. He’s an awesome guy and he has been recruiting me ever since he committed and wants me to come up there with him soon.” Williams plans on making it to Columbus for a spring practice this spring.
Despite the Buckeyes, there are a few other schools in the mix. Williams said, “I have a couple of schools like USC, Oregon, Texas, Miami, Georgia, Washington, Texas A&M, Alabama, Ohio State, and UCLA.”
