The Buckeyes, fresh off a national championship, are already busy and back on the recruiting trail. Wide receivers coach Brian Hartline has made stops in California and Texas so far. In those stops, he has offered a few prospects. One of those was 2026 four-star WR Brock Boyd from Southlake Carroll. Boyd is currently committed to TCU. He spoke to The Silver Bulletin about the offer and his recruitment.
Boyd spoke on what the offer means to him, saying, “It’s an opportunity to play at a big-time school. I’m very grateful for the opportunity.” Hartline’s development at the WR position stands out to him a ton, “Absolutely, looking at his pedigree of receivers is for sure eye-catching.” One thing sticks out to Boyd, he said, “How they’re always in the College Playoffs and able to reload each year.”

Currently, Boyd doesn’t have any visits scheduled to other schools. This adds up as his commitment to TCU is very strong. His relationship is a big part of his commitment to TCU, “I and TCU have an amazing relationship and I only see it getting stronger.” In regards to communication with other schools, this is what he said, “I don’t really plan on staying in contact with colleges, whichever ones want to build the relationship can.” When speaking about a final decision, he spoke about his faith, “I think it’s God letting me know. I don’t really think about it I just walk with God and pray for wisdom. I believe he will steer my heart in the right direction.” There is still a lot of time in the 2026 cycle. Further, expect the Buckeyes to stick around for Boyd. Possibly, we could see them try to flip the talented wideout from TCU.
