The College Football Playoff bracket is set and the Ohio State Buckeyes are in as the No. 8 seed and will host Tennessee in Columbus.

After missing for a year, Ohio State returns to the College Football Playoff, securing the No. 8 seed. The Buckeyes are set to host a home playoff game in two weeks against Tennessee. Kickoff is set for 8:00 pm ET on Saturday, December 21st.

Ohio State finished the regular season 10-2 with excruciating losses to Oregon and Michigan. However, Ryan Day’s team is among the most talented rosters in the country. Despite missing out on a conference championship, the Buckeyes are one of the most dangerous teams in the field.

Ohio State fans never imagined a mid-December home game. Thanks to the expanded 12-team playoff, it’s a reality, but it will certainly bring an unparalleled atmosphere and home field advantage.

Look at the bracket and Ohio State’s path to a potential National Title: No. 8 Ohio State vs. No. 9 Tennessee in the first round, Oregon in a quarterfinal, and potentially Texas in the semifinal.

Adjacent to 2022, following a loss to Michigan, Ohio State found new life in its playoff berth. Two years ago, it came with help and a surprise. This year, it was expected, but the same goal is achievable. What will Ryan Day’s Buckeyes and the senior class do with this opportunity in the CFP?
