The Buckeyes hold two commitments at the corner position for the 2025 recruiting class, in five-stars Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord. But corners coach Tim Walton is working to add a third and final commit to that class. The potential target to fill that up hails from Cartersville, Georgia: three-star CB Jordyn Woods, who is currently verbally committed to Cincinnati. The Peach State native spoke to The Silver Bulletin about his interest in the Buckeyes, and what’s next.
After a great conversation with @CoachDuHart and @OGWalt_ I am beyond blessed to receive my 11th d1 offer from The Ohio State University!⚪️🔴 @CHSHurricaneFB @CoachQKent @Coachkingruss @coachemupchat @Coachkdantzler @CoachCandela99 pic.twitter.com/PxwpPf2dj4

Woods made a trip up to Columbus for the Buckeyes matchup against Nebraska. The offer is a big one for the corner, “It means a lot to me as a player and as a person.” The Buckeyes made a big leap and are heavily pushing for a flip. It’s all positive about the Buckeyes from Woods. He said, “The culture and passion that the players play with and the coaches coach with.” He even stated that the Buckeyes are really high on his board. Woods has a growing relationship with Coach Walton. That relationship is going to play a factor, “Me and Coach Walt have a connection just from him being from the Peach State.”
Woods is going to take his official visit to Ohio State for their matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers. He plans to make a final decision on his commitment shortly after that visit. He will be a heavy flip target for the Buckeyes coaching staff. It makes sense why, a 6’3 Corner is rare to find in high school, and his ability to tackle and hit stick guys is a very notable part of his game. His coverage skills are impressive. In addition to Cincinnati, Woods holds offers from Virginia, Boston College, and Michigan State.
