Ohio State Football Recruiting: 26′ Four-Star RB Jae Lamar Talks Ohio State Offer

The Buckeyes have extended a few offers over the past week. One is from Ohio State running backs coach Carlos Locklyn, who offered 2026 four-star RB Jae Lamar. The Georgia RB spoke to The Silver Bulletin about the Buckeyes offering and where they stand in his early recruitment.

To start on a positive note, Lamar described the offer as a “big one” for him. Further, he said, “It impacted my recruitment a lot.” In addition, he talked about what stands out about the Buckeyes, “The current backs they have.” Lamar has a very good relationship with Locklyn. It isn’t a shock and shouldn’t be if the Buckeyes are big players in this recruitment. Lamar said that he plans on visiting Ohio State, but doesn’t know when yet. The Buckeyes are a school to watch early for Lamar.

In addition, Lamar is a big part of Colquitt County’s offense, which has earned him offers from schools like Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Missouri, Tennessee, and more. Georgia has the in-state factor but he’s made visits to Tennesee, Alabama, and Florida State. He said this about his recruitment at the moment, “It’s kind of business at the moment.” Despite that, the Buckeyes have a ton that interests Lamar and will be a player in this recruitment.
