TSB Staff Picks vs. Nebraska: Ohio State returns to The Shoe hosting Nebraska on FOX’s Big Noon Saturday in an important Big Ten matchup.

Dave: The Buckeyes get back on track with a respectable win over the Cornhuskers. Ohio State 41 Nebraska 21

Blake: Ohio State is chomping at the bit to get back on the field and it will look like it on Saturday. This will be a motivated football team and I expect an efficient day from Will Howard and the offense. The story of the season focuses on the Silver Bullets and this will be a fiery bunch. The defensive line will have multiple sacks, which will be the sign Buckeye fans want to see, however, the real test will be next week against Penn State. Ohio State 42 Nebraska 13

Dan: Nebraska comes off a shocking 56-7 loss to powerhouse Indiana. The Buckeyes will do their best to replicate Indiana’s performance after a bye week. However, the Buckeyes traditionally start slow out of a bye and with injuries on the defense I expect Nebraska to take advantage. The Buckeyes pull away in the second half and win 38-14.

Cass: The Buckeyes will win easily in what I think what will be a statement game before heading out to Happy Valley next week. Despite the injury bug on offense I think the Buckeye running game will be a vocal point of the offense. Look for Judkins and Henderson to have big days. I think Will Howard will continue to get better and the nation will start to notice.

Defense has all the pressure on them I think Knowles finally dials up an aggressive style of blitzes to put pressure on Raiola. I think Jack Sawyer will have his best day as a Buckeye and I think Denzel Burke redeems himself and has a great game maybe an interception. Buckeyes win 41-6

Carson H: The Ohio State offense had a season-low in points with 31 against Oregon, but that is a good problem to have and I expect both phases of the offense to move the ball at times in this affair. Will Howard continues his solid play, spreading the wealth to all the playmakers out wide. I expect Carnell Tate to have a bigger game and maybe Brandon Inniss as well. Egbuka, Smith, and the usual suspects will continue their great seasons with highlight-reel catches.

On the ground, Judkins will have a rebounding effort after his worst game of the season. He and Henderson will receive a big workload especially if the game starts to get out of hand, with both finding the endzone for a score.

For the Silver Bullets defense, I think they will force two turnovers in a bounce-back spot against a struggling and turnover-prone offense. I expect Denzel Burke to have a better game, Caleb Downs to be a bigger factor, and the defensive line to get some pressure forcing Raiola into some bad decisions. Read Carson’s full thoughts here.
