TSB Staff picks continue for Week 5 as Ohio State travels to East Lansing for its first road test against Michigan State.

Blake: Ohio State will lean on its ground game earlier, especially if the weather goes south. However, this game is for the skill position players on the perimeter. We’ve seen Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith have breakout games, so Saturday night will feature Carnell Tate. Defensively, I expect a masterclass after a frustrating performance against Marshall, where no player of the game was mentioned. Ohio State 42 Michigan State 10

Dan: Ohio State’s air attack will be the difference in this contest. Michigan State’s strong front seven may contain the Ohio State rushing attack and force Will Howard to feel the pressure in the first half. However, I expect Chip Kelly to adjust and get Judkins and Henderson going in the second half. Weather could play a factor as well. Ohio State 49 Michigan State 10

Cass: Possibly weather could play a factor with the hurricane from the south moving north! It is the conference opener and it is on the road and at night. Look for the running game to get going with a wrinkle of Will Howard running the ball. Defensively look for Michigan State dial some trickery with Chiles at QB. However Buckeyes strong defense will prevail and want to show up big. Also I’m going to keep saying it until it happens, there will be a Punt or Kickoff return for a TD. Ohio State 38 Michigan State 13 

Carson H: Ohio State has had the Spartans number especially as of late. Expecting some turnovers from a defense that hasn’t forced many, against an offense that has thrown seven interceptions on the year.
