Ohio State Recruiting: 2026 Four-Star OL Grant Wise Talks Ohio State Offer

The Buckeyes hosted their second summer prospect camp for recruits on June 6th. The Buckeyes staff saw some impressive performances. and one of those was from 2026 four-star OL Grant Wise from Milton, Florida. The talented offensive lineman talked to The Silver Bulletin about the offer and more.

Wise described the offer as a great opportunity, “The offer gives me another opportunity to play football at the highest level.” One thing that sticks out to Wise is the standard of success. He said, “The standard of success that has been established by the coaches and players stands out the most.” His relationship has only started with Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye, but it is going well. Wise said, “My relationship with Coach [Justin] Frye is just beginning but I like his coaching style during camp.” He hasn’t released a top list but the Buckeyes will “definitely be on it,” he said.

With the offer, the Buckeyes became a top team in this recruitment. Wise spoke highly when asked if he could see himself being a Buckeye, “I could see myself being a Buckeye because of the atmosphere around the program and the support given to players in all aspects of not just football but life too.” He is still working on narrowing down to a top school list. Some schools expected to be in the mix to make that list with the Buckeyes include Clemson, Florida State, Alabama, Miami, and others. Wise’s father played at Miami. He is also a top-level weight lifter in the weight room. The Buckeyes will continue to be involved with Wise, but if they can close a commitment when the time is right, it would be a great get.
