On June 5th, the Buckeyes hosted their first camp of the summer. A ton of prospects showcased their skills in order to try and receive an Ohio State offer. One of the prospects that was indeed offered was 2027 WR Jamier Brown, who had a phenomenal camp performance and earned the offer from Coach Hartline. He spoke to The Silver Bulletin about the offer and his recruitment.
Brown, a Dayton native, has been a fan of the Buckeyes since childhood. Brown said, “The offer means a lot to me because I’m from Ohio and, I’ve been an Ohio State fan since I was little.” Despite the fandom side, a ton about the school itself stands out to Brown, “What stands out the most is that they are a good program and, have a great coaching staff and, there’s been a lot of great players that have come through Ohio State.” Equally important, the offer is an impactful one. Brown said, “I’m really grateful for the offer because it’s one I’ve really been waiting on but, I’m still just trying to go through the process of my recruitment until I have to make a decision.”

Importantly, Brown is looking forward to making a great relationship with the coaching staff. The Buckeyes are easily in the top five for Brown, he said. The Ohio native added, “I can see myself being a Buckeye, because I know Coach Hartline and the program would help me get better and be the best I can.” He does not have a recruiting timeline set currently besides exploring schools. He already has an impressive offer list from schools like Notre Dame, Tennessee, Purdue, Penn State, and others.
