Ohio State Recruiting: 2025 Four-Star OT Ziyare Addison talks Ohio State Offer, Potential Official Visit

On May 16th, the Buckeyes extended an offer to one of the country’s best offensive tackles in the 2025 class, four-star OT Ziyare Addison. The Florida offensive tackle spoke to The Silver Bulletin about the offer and a potential official visit to the Buckeyes.

Addison raved about the offer, “Earning an offer from a program like Ohio State is a fabulous feeling. They’re definitely in my top ten schools.” In addition, a ton stands out to Addison about the Buckeyes. He said, “Ohio State’s rich history and reputation are undeniably impressive. Additionally, the strong relationships I’ve built with Coach [Chip] Kelly and Coach [Tim] Drevno are very important to me.”

Moreover, the offensive tackle has a busy summer, he told The Silver Bulletin, “My summer schedule is super jam-packed right now.” But, he added there is a possibility of an Ohio State official visit, “I’ll need to discuss it with my family to see about squeezing in an official visit to Ohio State. It’s definitely a possibility, though.” The Buckeyes could definitely make some noise in the recruitment for Addison.

The Buckeyes have a ton of competition in this one and will need to recruit Addison heavily. He listed schools that are standing out to him, and those schools are Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, UCLA, Florida State, Florida, and Stanford. Addison plans on making a commitment in mid-August. If the Buckeyes can get him on an official visit, that would be a huge win for the Buckeyes in his recruitment. Offensive line coach Justin Frye has to prove himself with this recruiting class, and landing an elite tackle like Addison would definitely help the cause.

Addison is rated as the No. 211 overall prospect in the 2025 class, the No. 22 OT, and the No. 15 player in the state of Florida.
