On May 16th, the Buckeyes lost one of their first commitments in their 2025 Class, as four-star CB Blake Woodby announced his decommitment from the Buckeyes. Woodby was committed to Ohio State since October 2023. To many this may come as a shock, but this move has been rumored for quite some time and is more of a coaching staff decision.
NEWS: 25’ Four-Star CB Blake Woodby has decommitted from Ohio State, I have been told.

With the writing on the wall, Woodby has taken a couple visits to other schools like Oregon. I have been told the schools to watch for Woodby are Oregon, Georgia, and others. The talented prospect will be a valuable piece wherever he ends up next.
In regards of where the Buckeyes turn depends on the status of top targets. They are pursuing five-star CB Dorian Brew and five-star CB Trey McNutt heavily. Now for the corner spot, the Buckeyes already hold commitments from the top two corners in the country, those being five-star CB Na’eem Offord and five-star CB Devin Sanchez. There is many scenarios but if Brew commits, we could see him play safety or corner. The same goes for McNutt, whom the Buckeyes hold a ton of momentum for. It will be interesting to see if the Buckeyes get back in the mix at the top for Brew.
