Ohio State Recruiting: 2026 four-star ATH Tyriq Green Talks ‘Dream Offer’ From The Buckeyes

On April 5th, Ohio State hosted a ton of uber-talented prospects. The Buckeyes extended a few offers and one of those was to highly skilled 2026 four-star ATH Tyriq Green, who was offered by RB coach Carlos Locklyn and safeties coach Matt Guerreri. Green spoke to The Silver Bulletin about the offer.

The offer is a huge one for Green as he’s been an Ohio State fan since he was young, “The offer means a lot to me since I’ve been a fan since I was young, the Buckeyes stand high.”

In addition, he called Ohio State his dream school, “The Buckeyes are a dream school of [mine] because I’ve grown up watching them on TV since the Ezekiel Elliott days.” Now, Green is an elite back for Kell High School in Georgia. His film speaks for itself, earning 71 carries for 769 rushing yards, and rusheing for 10 touchdowns. Green is also a threat in the receiving game. He caught 10 passes for 232 receiving yards.

Multiple factors within Ohio State stands out to Green. “What stands out the most is the culture, the fans down there are great, and the relationship with the team have [based] off of tough love and trust.” He dove into the practice as well, “What stood out the most was the competitiveness both offense and defense was giving each other great looks.”

Green added, “Players that caught my attention were Jeremiah Smith, Caleb Downs, Quinshon Judkins, and Carnell Tate.” In addition, he described the intensity as “very competitive and fast”.

Furthermore, Ohio State is one of the top schools on his list. But, there is some competition, “The schools recruiting me the hardest [are] Tennessee, Georgia, [and] South Carolina.” But all schools are standing out, “Because I’m grateful to be in this position.”

The Buckeyes will be one to watch in this race, and landing an elite athlete from the south would be a huge win for the Scarlet and Gray.
