Ohio State Recruiting: 2025 Priority Four-Star LB Tarvos Alford Talks Visit From Buckeyes

With the recent dead period closing, the Buckeyes have some work to get done on the trail. The entire Buckeyes staff made stops all over the nation, but one pivotal appearance was in Florida. One of the stops the staff made was to priority target and four-star LB Tarvos Alford.

The Visit Message

The Buckeyes Staff came into message with a clear-cut message to Alford, “I’m a top priority that they need to come in and make the class great.” Alford said. “Help recruit others.” Coach James Laurinaitis and Ryan Day stopped in at Vero Beach High School. Alford has been trending to the Buckeyes recently, and the Buckeyes could be the team to beat in this one. Alford been a huge target for current commitments Devin Sanchez and Tavien St. Clair.

He tells the Silver Bulletin that the Buckeyes sit, “Very High” in his recruitment. Since the spring, Alford has been a big fan of the Buckeyes. But, the Buckeyes have company, Alford says that many other programs paid him a visit, “Tennessee, UCF, Florida State, Kentucky, Florida, and Rutgers.” They were telling him how he helps their program. Alford’s top schools at the moment could be up in the air. But, the ones making the most in this recruitment are Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, and recently Miami.

Relationship with Mr. Ohio

Alford expressed his relationship with Laurinaitis and being recruited by him. Alford said, “It’s amazing, that’s my guy. He’s great, I know a lot of people see him as Mr. Ohio but I kinda see him as a big brother.” Laurinaitis is currently a graduate assistant but is traveling to recruit due to the open coaching spot on the staff.

A return to Columbus is expected in the spring. But, by then he could very well be committed to a school. Alford told the Silver Bulletin, that a commitment could be “Soon.” If so, it very well could be the Buckeyes. Which isn’t a shock, the Buckeyes have played their cards very well in this recruitment, and a commitment would be a huge win for Laurinaitis and the staff.
