BREAKING: Star running back, TreVeyon Henderson, will return to Ohio State for his senior season, as the Buckeyes fully “Reload the Clip” in pursuit of their team goals.
The Ohio State football team has seen several players enter the transfer portal over the last month. But the Buckeyes continue to get good news in the other direction as star running back TreVeyon Henderson will return for his senior season. Henderson welcomes Ole Miss transfer Quinshon Judkins to the backfield, in what will be an elite tandem in 2024 as Judkins was the SEC’s premier running back.
Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson is expected to return to the Buckeyes next season, reports say.
Henderson has averaged 6.3 yards per carry and scored 37 touchdowns during his career.

In his three seasons, Henderson rushed for 2,673 yards on 427 carries and 32 touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per attempt. From his first game as a true freshman against Indiana, No. 32 has been a home run hitting playmaker in Ohio State’s offense.
TreVeyon Henderson is also one of the most dynamic backs in the country out of the backfield. He’s caught 50 passes for 569 yards and five touchdowns, good for 11.4 yards per reception. His play-making ability, elite vision, and burst make him a complete RB and one of the best in the nation heading into next season.
Thank you God 🙏🏽

Injuries have been a struggle for Henderson, as well. He has missed periodic time in each of the last two years. The Buckeyes have had superior depth at the position compared to its opponents and will again next season.
Ohio State’s offense is loaded as star WR Emeka Egbuka announced his return on Thursday. Brian Hartline’s room features Egbuka, Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, and Jeremiah Smith on the outside. Paired with the running back room and a mobile Will Howard at QB, the Buckeyes will be difficult to contain.
Chip Trayanum and Evan Pryor entered the transfer portal. Miyan Williams declared for the NFL Draft in early December, leaving transfer Quinshon Judkins and Dallan Hayden alongside TreVeyon Henderson in Tony Alford’s room.
Either way, TreVeyon Henderson’s return for his senior season is a massive offensive boost for Ryan Day and Ohio State. Since QB Kyle McCord entered the portal, too, Kansas State transfer Will Howard will be under center for the Buckeyes. Howard will likely lean on Henderson and Judkins early during the acclimation process and throughout the season as reliable, veteran options.
