BOOM! Alabama Transfer OL Seth McLaughlin has committed to Ohio State!

The Buckeyes grab a consistent starter from Alabama and a player  that has a ton of experience.

McLauglin held offers from programs like Clemson, Oklahoma, Penn State, USC, Texas A&M, and more. He stands at 6-4 and weighs at 305lbs. He was a 27 game starter for the Crimson Tide and brings in a ton of experience. McLaughlin can also play guard, although mostly started for Alabama at center. McLaughlin could compete with incumbent Carson Hinzman or even become a starting guard in Columbus. Despite late season struggles, he’s a great blocker. In 975 career pass blocking snaps, McLaughlin has allowed just one sack.

Lastly, McLaughlin joins a rising transfer class with Ohio Transfer TE Will Kacmarek and Kansas State QB Will Howard. He could play a huge role on the offensive line and be a key leader. McLaughlin is originally from Buford, Georgia, and played for Buford High School. Despite struggling in the Rose Bowl, he still overall is a great blocker and has the potential to turn it around in Columbus.

According to 247Sports, McLaughlin was ranked as a four-star prospect. He was a very good part of Alabama’s win over Georgia in the SEC Championship this season.
