Lastly, McLaughlin joins a rising transfer class with Ohio Transfer TE Will Kacmarek and Kansas State QB Will Howard. He could play a huge role on the offensive line and be a key leader. McLaughlin is originally from Buford, Georgia, and played for Buford High School. Despite struggling in the Rose Bowl, he still overall is a great blocker and has the potential to turn it around in Columbus.
According to 247Sports, McLaughlin was ranked as a four-star prospect. He was a very good part of Alabama’s win over Georgia in the SEC Championship this season.
