BOOM! Three-Star LB Eli Lee Commits to Ohio State!

BOOM! Three-Star LB Eli Lee has Committed to Ohio State!

Ohio State has added an in-state piece to their 2025 class as Archbishop Hoban (Akron) linebacker Eli Lee has pledges his services to the Buckeyes.

Lee picked Ohio State over Iowa State, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and more, electing to end his recruitment relatively early and commit to the in-state Buckeyes.. He stands in at 6’3 and weighs 215lbs, a very physical linebacker in the Akron area. He plays for Ohio powerhouse, Archbishop Hoban and has been key to their defense.  He is also a very good tackler and can break down on gaps causing chaos. Lee has been compared to current Buckeye LB Tommy Eichenberg and former Buckeye stalwart AJ Hawk.

Furthermore, with a commitment from Lee, the Buckeyes 2025 class continues its early momentum. Along with that, the Hoban to Columbus pipeline is picking up heavily with many Buckeye targets coming from Archbishop Hoban. The potential Lee holds is something Buckeye fans will get to witness, as well as a possible look at the old Buckeye LB greats. He joins four-star CB Blake Woodby, four-star QB Tavien St. Clair and four-star WR Jayvan Boggs as members of Ohio State’s 2024 class.

According to 247Sports, Lee is ranked as the #38 LB and #15 OH. Expect him to rise as he has had a phenomenal junior season.
