BOOM! Five-Star DL Eddrick Houston Commits to Ohio State

Larry Johnson strikes and lands a huge target for the rushmen.

The Buckeyes land a priority target and a future star for the Buckeyes in five-star defensive lineman Eddrick Houston. Houston took an official visit to Columbus earlier this summer and the Buckeyes catapulted into the lead in his recruitment. Ultimately, Johnson and Ryan Day were able to seal the deal and land the five-star.

Houston stands in at 6’3 and weighs in at 255lbs. He brings problems for offensive linemen and can win leverage with ease. Also, he is excellent at creating chaos and pressuring the quarterback. Plus he has amazing size and could fit in at EDGE as well. Houston also plays tight end on the offensive side of the ball, showing his versatility. Houston has tremendous potential and will be a star for the Buckeyes. The talented defensive lineman attends Georgia powerhouse Buford High School in Buford, Georgia, the same high school as former Ohio State offensive lineman Harry Miller.

Landing Houston, the Buckeyes beat out Alabama, Georgia, USC, and more for the talented defensive lineman. Adding Houston creates a possible pipeline from Buford to Columbus capable and strengthens the Ohio State connections in the Peach State. He joins five-star Justin Scott as defensive lineman currently committed in Ohio State’s 2024 class.

Houston had a great Junior Season, racking up 64 Tackles, 11. TFL’s, 10 Sacks, and 15 QB pressures. He also wrestles and runs track. Expect Houston to have a monster senior season and put up excellent numbers. He will play some of the best high school talent in the nation, including starting his season off against St. Frances Academy.

Houston will have a bunch of potential to give once he gets to Columbus, but just wait until he becomes a star for the Buckeyes. The potential is there for Houston to become a household name by the end of his time in Columbus.
