Lockhart is 5’10 and weighs 185lbs and is a very physical corner who can lock down receivers. He has great ball skills and toughness in one-on-one coverage and is a great tackler. Lockhart attends Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. His physicality and tackling gives a close comparison to former Buckeye Denzel Ward. Expect Lockhart to be an excellent corner in Columbus.

The commitment of Lockhart brings another Arizona kid to Ohio, and an amazing player. Although not many schools recruited him highly because the Buckeyes have been the favorites for a bit. However, later on Wisconsin, Utah, Texas A&M made waves in his recruitment. He joins Bryce West in the CB class for Ohio State as Tim Walton makes a splash once again.

Lockhart had a phenomenal Junior season for Basha, as they won a state championship. He had 69 total tackles, with 31 being solo and 38 being assisted. Plus 4 Interceptions and 38 passes defended. He shut down many receivers and even picked off Dylan Raiola in playoffs. However, he was a vital piece on defense against Los Alamitos, Hamilton, Chandler (twice), and the state championship against Saguaro. Saguaro is the home of current Buckeye corner Denzel Burke as well. This season, they play Hamilton, Saguaro, and Chandler.

The Buckeyes add an underrated corner that has exponential potential. Expect him to have a very strong senior season so go give Miles a warm welcome home.
