2025 Four-Star LB Tarvos Alford Talks Ohio State Interest

Recently, the Buckeyes hosted one of their prospect camps for recruits to show their talents. One of the top recruits that made the trip to Columbus was 2025 four-star LB Tarvos Alford. The Buckeyes have been trending heavily in this recruitment since then.

The camp was very positive for Alford, “The camp was great, it was great to get a few of the coaches.” Alford has extreme interest in Ohio State, he said, “My interest is very high. [Ohio State is a] top school for me.” Plus, Alford plans on returning to Columbus for a game, although a specific game has not been determined.

Alford’s relationship with Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles and assistant coach James Laurinaitis is a huge plus, “My relationship with them is great, they make me feel like a priority.” Despite a great relationship with both coaches, he’s learning a lot from both, “Coach Laurinaitis was really teaching me about the history and Coach Knowles was teaching me about their scheme and plays.” The Buckeyes are making Alford a huge target early.

Although, due to it being early for his recruitment. Alford only plans on exploring his top schools, “My plans are really just going to my top schools and seeing what it’s like.” The Buckeyes are early contenders for the talented linebacker. Adding Alford to the Buckeyes 2025 class would be a huge win on the recruiting trail.

Alford is a very highly touted prospect as shown with offers from Florida, Auburn, Penn State, Tennessee and more. He stands in at 6’1 and weighs 200lbs. The Buckeyes seem to be battling Florida early for Alford.
