Smith-Njigba burst onto the scene last year, recording a whopping 95 catches for 1,606 yards, despite playing alongside two future NFL stars in Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave.
It was a different story this year. Smith-Njigba was injured in the first quarter of Ohio State’s first game against Notre Dame, and despite trying to come back a few weeks later, it just wasn’t meant to be and Smith-Njigba’s hamstring injury will now end his career in Columbus.
The Buckeyes will continue to move forward with the group they have had the entire season, with Biletnikoff finalist Marvin Harrison Jr. leading the way alongside Julian Fleming, Emeka Egbuka, and Xavier Johnson.
