BOOM! Four-star North Carolina Wide Receiver Noah Rogers Commits to Ohio State!

The train of BOOMs just keeps on chugging along for Ohio State’s class of 2023. The Buckeyes officially landed their third addition to Zone 6 when Noah Rogers made it official today that he would be committing to the Scarlet and Gray.

Rogers joins the class as a top 10 wide receiver nationally and ranks as a top 60 recruit overall. He is the third receiver in as many days to commit to Brian Hartline and the Buckeyes alongside 5-stars Carnell Tate and Brandon Inniss.

This recruitment can definitely be viewed as one of the quieter ones as Rogers kept everything close to the vest throughout. Rogers held 26 power five offers before pledging his services to the Buckeyes. Rogers comes to the Buckeyes with great size and power, at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds.

The North Carolina product is a true No.1 WR who will play all of his college snaps on the outside with elite speed and acrobatic tendencies.

Brian Hartline never seemed to be in any sort of real recruiting battle with Rogers as Rogers has never been one for the recruiting games. Rogers has never announced any sort of top school list as he’s a “strictly business” type of player according to his high school coaching staff.

If there was a threat with Rogers the Buckeyes certainly never felt it as Rogers made it quick and prominent following his visit to Columbus. Tennessee, Michigan, Auburn, Penn State, Notre Dame, Oregon and home state North Carolina State were all thought to be possible players but in the end the chance for Rogers to be coached by Hartline was ultimately what won out here.
